Matt and Kim an indie pop duo from Brooklyn,  opened up the University of Iowa’s 2012 homecoming with a full throttle shot of non stop energy. The group was formed in 2005 and is composed of Matt Johnson (vocals/keyboards) and Kim Schifino (drums/vocals). Their music is infectious. An older concert goer there to see Grand Funk told me they reminded him of the Black Keys. Comparisons to duos like White Strips or the Black Keys have no doubtedly been made, but Matt and Kim imho are forging new territory bringing a young fan base to their feet.

[box_light]Thank you Scope Productions for inviting me and providing me the opportunity to capture Matt and Kim in a rare intiment outdoor setting.[/box_light]
